Dr. Jong Kim, MD, MPH

BIO:

Dr. Jong Kim is a board-certified physician in Addiction Medicine with extensive experience integrating mental health and substance use treatment. He earned his MD and MPH from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he developed a strong commitment to health equity, public health systems, and evidence-based, compassionate care.

Dr. Kim completed his residency and fellowship at Ventura County Medical Center, gaining broad experience in behavioral health, primary care, and the management of co-occurring disorders across inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings. Prior to joining The Meadows, he served as Associate Medical Director for HealthRIGHT 360’s Los Angeles County programs, overseeing clinical services at multiple detoxification and residential treatment facilities. In that role, he helped expand access to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs and implemented trauma-informed, integrative care models bridging medical and psychological treatment.

At The Meadows, Dr. Kim provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic clarification, and ongoing mental health support for clients in the Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. His clinical philosophy emphasizes collaboration with therapy teams, personalized psychopharmacologic care, and restoring balance across emotional, cognitive, and physical health domains.

Outside of work, Dr. Kim enjoys golfing, hiking, and exploring innovations in digital wellness. He is proud to be part of The Meadows team, supporting individuals in their journey toward healing, growth, and renewed purpose.
