Dr. Aaron Wilson is the Chief Medical Officer of Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, where he leads the organization’s medical and psychiatric services with a focus on advancing excellence in the treatment of trauma, addiction, and complex psychiatric conditions.
Dr. Wilson earned his medical degree from Tulane University in 2007 and completed his psychiatric residency at the Tulane University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is also board certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. His dual certifications reflect his expertise in both general psychiatry and the specialized care of individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
With extensive experience in psychopharmacology, diagnostic evaluation, and integrated systems of care, Dr. Wilson has developed clinical approaches that emphasize diagnostic clarity, individualized treatment planning, and the coordination of multidisciplinary teams to address the biological, psychological, and developmental aspects of mental health and addiction. He has held numerous leadership positions, including Chief Medical Officer roles at nationally recognized treatment centers in Arizona, and has been instrumental in shaping evidence-based psychiatric and addiction medicine practices.
In addition to his clinical and administrative leadership, Dr. Wilson is deeply engaged in the broader psychiatric community. He is a past President of the Arizona Psychiatric Society and maintains active membership in the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and the Arizona Medical Association.
