Jenni Schaefer
Jenni Schaefer is a bestselling author and internationally recognized speaker whose work has transformed the conversation around eating disorder recovery. Her groundbreaking book, Life Without Ed, introduced “Ed” (short for Eating Disorder), a concept that has helped thousands name their illness, separate from it, and begin to heal. She later wrote Goodbye Ed, Hello Me and co-authored Almost Anorexic—a collaboration with Harvard Medical School that aims to help the millions who struggle with eating disorders that fall short of meeting official diagnostic criteria.
Recovered from her own eating disorder, trauma, and related issues, Jenni carries her message of self-acceptance and triumph over adversity to audiences worldwide. She has appeared on Today, Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and in The New York Times, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and more.
A Senior Fellow with Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, Jenni is a passionate advocate whose work continues to inspire hope and spark change.
