- Do not include diagnosis, treatment details, or sensitive medical information.
- Use neutral, non-specific language.
- Avoid combining full names with sensitive context.
- Do not include insurance or billing details.
- Use secure systems for PHI when required.
Approved Example
Reminder: You have an appointment with Meadows tomorrow at 10 AM. Reply STOP to opt out.
Prohibited Example
Reminder: Your patient’s substance use treatment session is tomorrow at 10 AM.
4. Operational Enforcement
All teams leveraging SMS (including Salesforce, marketing platforms, and integrations) must adhere to this policy.
Periodic audits should be conducted to ensure compliance with messaging standards and consent tracking.
