BIO:

Shauna Scott is a dedicated nursing leader with a passion for behavioral health and patient-centered care. Born in Hawaii and raised across military bases in Hawaii and California, she eventually settled in Arizona, where she has lived since her early teens. Shauna began her academic journey at Arizona State University before transitioning into nursing, earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Boswell College of Nursing in 2012 and later her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2019.

Although her early nursing experience was outside of psychiatric care, she discovered a deep connection to behavioral health after joining MBH in 2017, inspired by her longstanding desire to support individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges.

Since joining MBH, Shauna has grown within the organization, starting as a floor nurse and advancing to her current role as Assistant Director of Nursing in 2022. In her leadership position, she oversees nursing operations, supports staff development, and drives excellence in patient care and safety. Shauna is especially passionate about mentoring nurses and behavioral health technicians, helping them build both clinical expertise and meaningful connections with patients. As a third-generation nurse, she brings integrity, compassion, and determination to her work, striving to create an environment where both patients and staff can thrive.
