Carla Hansen, MS, LPC-S
I was born in Connecticut, spent a few years in New Jersey, and eventually grew up in Utah. I attended the University of Utah, where I earned a BA in English, and later received my master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I have lived in Iowa, Ohio, and Nevada as an adult and am grateful for the experiences I had in each of those places.
My journey with The Meadows began in 2018 at our residential facility in Wickenburg, where I worked with the family team before serving as a Primary Therapist for both women’s and men’s groups. In February 2024, I joined the Meadows Outpatient Center in Scottsdale.
As Clinical Director, I have the privilege of working closely with both staff and patients to foster an environment of healing and growth. I am passionate about meeting patients where they are, helping them navigate challenges, and supporting their path forward. Witnessing transformation is what inspires me and keeps me committed to this work every day.
Outside of my professional role, I’m grateful for my family, two married daughters and an adorable grandson I love to brag about (and yes, I’m always happy to share a photo or two!). I cherish the time I get to spend visiting them in Maine and Germany. When I have time for myself, I enjoy being outdoors and staying active. I love playing and watching tennis, and I dabble with pickleball. Growing up in Utah gave me a deep appreciation for the mountains, and I also value quiet time at home with movies, reading, and relaxation.
I feel fortunate to be able to be part of our Scottsdale team and to be part of the Meadows family.
