Samantha Hodge-Dickenson, LPC-S, SEP

Clinical Director – MOC Dallas
BIO:

Born in Charlotte, NC, and raised across the country through 13 childhood moves, Samantha HodgeDickeson learned early the importance of connection, safety, and adaptability — values that now shape her work as Clinical Director at the Meadows Outpatient Center in Dallas. She leads a clinical team in providing trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care for individuals navigating trauma, mental health challenges, addictions, codependence, and eating disorders.
Samantha brings over a decade of experience to her role, with a background that includes serving mandated clients in community behavioral health in inner-city Philadelphia and later working as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Denton County MHMR, where she specialized in crisis intervention and case management within the Crisis Residential Unit (CRU). These experiences laid the foundation for her clinical focus on complex trauma, crisis stabilization, dual diagnosis, attachment work, and clinical supervision.
Her commitment to this field is also deeply personal. After losing two loved ones to suicide and supporting others through addiction and severe mental illness, Samantha became passionate about advocacy and community support. She served for four years as a Board Member and Support Group Co-Facilitator with Touched by Suicide of North Texas and volunteers with Ranch Hands Rescue / Bob’s House of Hope, the first safe house in the nation for male survivors of human trafficking.
Samantha is trained in EMDR therapy, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Post Induction Therapy (PIT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Houston and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Rosemont College with a Certification in Forensic Psychology. Samantha is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor in the state of Texas. Over her five years with the Meadows organization, she has served as a Primary Therapist, Trauma Therapist, and now Clinical Director.
In her downtime, Samantha enjoys relaxing with her spouse, family and friends, two dogs, and cat, and values time spent in quiet, grounding spaces. She likes arts and crafts, playing games, and is an avid reader. Samantha brings a relational, compassionate approach to her work and believes healing happens through safety, authenticity, and connection.
