The Grief Workshop serves to assist participants in furthering resolution surrounding loss of all kinds. A safe sacred space is created in order for participates to lean into the grief which facilitates the healing. As we know “loss touches loss”. Cumulative loss over the life cycle is examined. Loss can come in many forms including death of a loved one, loss of one’s health, relationship losses, major life changes, lost opportunity, etc.
Education on the cycle of grief is provided in order to normalize what you may be feeling and offer hope in terms of when you can expect to experience relief. Participants will also learn how they may have been conditioned to avoid feelings about their losses. Thinking processes will be explored, as will patterns of destructive behavior following trauma and other loss. Feelings and words left unsaid will be released through experiential exercises. Issues pertaining to relational problems will be addressed, with emphasis on recognizing emotional reactions to loss, trauma and broken dreams. Resources will be offered to allow you to move forward in a wholesome manner.
